Jenny Tang

Jenny Tang is a Chinese-Australian who is in her first year as a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland in Australia, where she is deeply engaged in researching the biography and ethnography of modern coffee, exploring its journey from ‘terroir’ to third wave consumption. Jenny’s professional experience is aligned with her research interests, particularly in media and storytelling. Prior to her PhD, she has worked in films, entertainment, documentaries, digital videos and journalism across four continents covering a wide range of topics. Jenny has visited over 50 countries (but don’t ask her which is her favourite!) but she always makes time to explore the local food scene and to try their traditional dishes and drinks. Her preferred way to pass time is going on walks in nature and swimming in any large bodies of water.
