The 13th edition of our festival was completed with great success and enthusiastic engagement not only by the audience but also by its participants and lovely guests.
In a year when there seemed to be a return to a pro-covid normality, the international circumstances were not the most promising ones as there was a widespread social discomfort and an ongoing war while on a national level, the Athenian movie theatres were at stake. However, given the opportunity of the number “13”, we aimed to change the narrative – at least on a symbolic level – and embrace its connotations.
More than 2.500 viewers enjoyed our screenings which at times we received with enthusiasm, in others instances provoked fruitful conversations but above all they revealed the multiple ways in which the human condition is transformed.
