The story of Agiannis Theologos inspects the historical and social course of the Aghios Ioannis Theologos district in Peristeri. Starting at the local fair in honour of the saint of the same name and, through personal interviews with locals, certain traces of older social organization are found. At the same time, the film presents the part the Kifisos river plays, the violent industrialisation of the area since the late 1960s as well as the expectations held by the remaining older inhabitants in the 21st century.
