Carlos Massota has a Ph.D. in Anthropology (University of Buenos Aires- National Council of Scientific and Technical Research) and he is member of the National Institute of Anthropology and Thought. He has also developed ample research in the fields of photography and visual studies. In 2010 he received a DAAD scholarship to put together the photographic archives of the famous German anthropologist Lehmann-Nitsche.
