Without Earth We Are Not Shuar

Land and culture are intimately linked to one another amongst the Shuar people of the Ecuadorian Amazon. What happens to the Shuar community, relationships and culture when foreign mining interests enter the picture? By comparing and contrasting two communities – a mining area and a protected area – this film explores the issues faced by the Shuar today, as well as the changes within their land.
