Moss

While exploring the inside of a tree, a little girl embarks on a mystical journey to the heart of the Trás-os-Montes region. Moss is a docufiction that explores cultural and affective expressions of pagan heritage in the north of Portugal.

Alexandra Guimarães

Alexandra Guimarães (1999) and Gonçalo L. Almeida (1998) both completed their degree on Cinema and Audiovisual at Escola Superior Artística do Porto, in 2020. That year they crossed paths and co-directed their first film, Moss, which allowed them to debut as directors at Curtas Vila do Conde. Since then, they plan to continue working in a co-creation model. They were both judges of the Giornate degli Autori competition at the Venice Film Festival, in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Currently, they dedicate their time to script writing, directing and film production.

Gonçalo L. Almeida
