50 Years Later…

Between 1959 and 1961, Jean Rouch treated the question of friendship in a mixed African-European High School in Abidjan with his film “La Pyramide Humaine”. Making use of a student exchange between two high schools in Bamako and Rambouillet, this film furthers the debate on the relationships between the students of the two classes and addresses Mali’s political context 50 years after its independence.
