Panos Achniotis

Panos Achniotis (Nicosia, 1992) is a social anthropologist and filmmaker who holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester. His current research examines neighbourhood-making and urban politics in post-crisis Barcelona. Previously, he conducted ethnographic research on the Catalan pro-independence campaign and worked as a research assistant in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cyprus. His films have been screened at international festivals, including the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and the RAI Film Festival Conference, and his academic work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.
