Ann-Kathrine Kværnø & Jack Ryan Jones

Ann-Kathrine Kværnø and Jack Ryan Jones both have degrees in anthropology, and both studied at the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology in 2014. Now both are based in Copenhagen, where Ann-Kathrine completes an MA in Global Refugee Studies, while Jack an MA in Applied Cultural Analysis. They are part of The Big Tree film collective, a largely student-comprised international network of ethnographic filmmakers with anthropological concerns. Ann-Kathrine’s central research interest is migration studies, while Jack is currently researching alternative currencies and intersections between economic and social practices.
