The film unveils the Ukrainian identity of Lesia, who moved to Athens 23 years ago and changed her name. In the end, war emerges as a powerful reason to defend one’s identity.

Jiangnan Wang

Jiangnan Wang is a Sociology student at Korea University. Born and raised in China, she has been documenting through her lens the changes in the residence and life circumstances. She is interested in boundaries, ambiguities, and liminal experience in life. She also explores migration and ethnic diaspora through visual practices.

Marharyta Tokarieva

Marharyta Tokarieva is a documentary director and an independent researcher from Ukraine. She studied Sociology at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and Documentary Directing at The Serhiy Bukovsky Film Programme. She uses interdisciplinary approaches concerning anthropology and visual culture, focusing on mental maps, urban individual and collective practices, migrants’ identity and integration.

Nefeli Polymerou

Nefeli Polymerou is a graduate of History and Archaeology (University of Ioannina) with a specialization in cultural history and history of art. Her experiences in WAGGGS led her to dedicate herself to the promotion of intercultural communication. She is also active in the field of cinema.
