It is the women and their compelling testimonies that give meaning to Helen Doyle’s film. On the coast of Italy, not so far away from here, the notion of solidarity and empowerment becomes a reality thanks to the coexistence of women with Nigerian migrants, creating a safe space of integration and creativity. An alternative optimistic look that is rare but necessary in the current times.
