A Game of Our Own

“Today more than ever, each of our goals is political”. A story about the reclaiming of a space and the redefinition of football that changes the bodies that inhabit it while the sexist and homophobic pillars that constitute it are shattered. Set in Buenos Aires, the movie interweaves the stories of three female footballers within the context of the feminist Green Wave movement, which has played a central role in both local and global politics since 2015.

Julia Martinez Heimann

Julia Martinez Heimann is an Argentinean independent researcher and filmmaker. She has worked in public education, direction and production of documentaries and cultural series for Cinema and television in Buenos Aires since 2009. She is a member of the ONG ACA Educational and Artistic Organization through which she carries out social and educational projects like Dancing Identities (short film documentary series about dance and migration, 2022) and Debates y Combates (2016 weekly series on philosophy and politics). In 2017, she premiered her first documentary film “Trabajadores de la danza” (Working Dancers).

Natalia Laclau

Natalia Laclau is a designer, audiovisual producer and educator. She specializes in projects related to gender and diversity issues. She also serves as the Director of Cultural Policies at the Ministry of Women, Gender Policies, and Sexual Diversity of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a member of the ONG ACA Educational and Artistic Organization through which she carries out social and educational projects.
