Ditte Haarløv Johnsen

Ditte Haarløv Johnsen was born in Denmark and grew up in Maputo, Mozambique. She is a photographer and a documentary film director. Since 2001 her base is in Copenhagen. In 2007 she graduated from The National Film School of Denmark. She also holds a BA in communication from Roskilide University and has studied at Fatamorgana, The Danish School of Art Photography. Her debut as a film director, “One Day” was launched at IDFA in 2007 where it received a Special Mention and was awarded best short documentary at Cph:Dox, One World Film Festival in Prague and IndieLisboa. Ditte’s photographic work has been exhibited worldwide. Her series “Maputo Diary”, is in the process of becoming a book. “Days of Hope” from 2013, is Ditte’s first feature length documentary film.
