Aurora Sappa

Aurora Sappa (b.1999, Italy) graduated in Storytelling from Communication Studies of the University of Turin with the thesis Casananda (2023) – a visual ethnography about the intercultural processes of repopulation of the Italian mid-mountain. She made her first short movie Shots (2022) for the project “Spaesamenti” – Borders Cinematographic Atelier. Since then, she collaborates with a small italian production house as a director, editor and screenwriter. She is currently an MA student of Anthropology and Languages of Images of the University of Siena. She is interested in the concept of landscape, communities and queer families, the rural world and the encounter between nature and human beings.
