Argyro Nikolaou

Argyro Nicolaou is a filmmaker and researcher based in New York. Her work explores the displacements of bodies, images, and artifacts in post-conflict, post-colonial places like her native Cyprus. Her films and media performances have been presented at the Museum of the Moving Image, New York; Tallinn Black Nights; Drama International Short Film Festival; and Gallatin Galleries, New York, among others. She is currently working on her first feature, Unsettled (My Sea), selected for UnionDocs’ 2024 Early Production Lab. Argyro is an Artist-in-Residence at the Center for Human Rights and the Arts, Bard College.
