Anastasia Shubina & Timofey Glinin

Anastasia Shubina and Timofey Glinin are multidisciplinary artists from Saint Petersburg, now based in San Francisco, USA. They have collaborated since 2018, working in documentary and experimental film, photography and performance. They both have academic foundations in cinema and contemporary art. Timofey has a PhD in Biology and Anastasia holds a master’s in Philosophy. Their films have been presented at international film festivals such as Sheffield Doc IDFF, DMZ Docs, and Tokyo Documentary Film Festival and have received awards at Cinéma du Réel IDFF, Beat IDFF, among others. In their work, they explore themes including mythology, anthropology, transhumanism and futurism.
