Dr. XYZ is an exercise in queering the healthcare information film. It weaves ethnographic healthcare accounts from Birmingham’s trans+ community, with moments of drag-satire re-enactment to depict a collective vision of the UK’s healthcare system.

El Jaunts is a trans moving-image artist from the Black Country. They are co-director of XYZ Projects; a trans-led ethnographic art collective, operating between Birmingham and London in the UK. Their work centres on decolonising ethnographic recording practices, with a focus on community-led healthcare archiving and collaborative filmmaking methods.
