On Wednesday 29/11 at the Goethe-Institut Athen, the 14th Ethnofest commenced with the screening of the unique film “All of Our Heartbeats Are Connected Through Exploding Stars” by Jennifer Rainsford.
With the 2011 Tsunami as a backdrop, the film is a staggering odyssey, an essay on grief, on how humans and nature rebuild after trauma. The documentary moves from the shores of Japan where Sachiko, Yasu and Satoko try to find ways to accept their loss.
We were honored to have Mirjam Gelhorn, the film’s producer at the screening.
