“Coffee Notes” builds upon customers’ coffee habits to reveal a series of intimate revelations captured over weeks at Rockers Coffee Gang in the busy street of Patission, Athens. By using coffee as the main theme and approach we point at how the second most consumed commodity in the world fuels our memories, experiences, and on an implicit but larger level our society.
Asia Lo Savio
Asia Lo Savio is an NYU Cinema Studies and Comparative Literature graduate. She has been working in film productions while growing her interest for visual anthropology and ethnographic filmmaking as practice to address postcolonial issues and global societal aspects. She hopes to integrate and apply visual anthropology more in her professional career.
Maria Demertzi
Maria Demertzi is a postgraduate Social Anthropologist. Her Μaster thesis is based on graffiti culture and the connection between physical and digital space. She is interested in ethnographic filmmaking and has participated in several conferences. Currently, she is working as a production and account coordinator.
