A visual diary about the everyday life of tourists on Samothraki island, and a journey that tracks the climax, the fall and the end of the tourist season. Overcrowdedness gives way to evocations of childhood and boredom, until all tourists leave the island and their ecological footprint on it.
Elena Stavraki
Elena Stavraki lives and works in north Greece during summer and in central Greece during winter. She studied Theory and History of Art (Fine Arts School of Athens) and Documentary Film (University of the Aegean). After practicing the writing of theory, she started substituting the medium of writing for the audiovisual media. Some themes that reoccur in her essays and documentary films are friendship, tourism and multispecies relationships.
