After many months of planning and hard work, we are very happy to share our new website with you all! Apart from improving the structure and layout of the already existing information, we have created something more substantial and innovating: a thorough database, which will be based on the Festival’s significant archive, organized in a way that will facilitate academic research and regularly updated. This new website will be a natural extension for the Festival, which is the only platform for visual anthropology in Greece, and we hope to see it grow into a point of reference and tool for research and studies beyond the limits of our country.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous and invaluable assistance and funding of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation (www.latsis-foundation.org), after their public call for the support of scientific societies and associations in the humanities and social sciences. We thank them for their support and collaboration throughout the creative process.
Stay tuned for news and updates on this year’s plans for the Athens Ethnographic Film Festival!
This project is being funded by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation as part of the Scientific Societies Support Program 2016.
