The Athens Ethnographic Film Festival – Ethnofest, in collaboration with INNOVATHENS powered by Samsung, participates in the celebrations of the International Museum Day 2018 at the Industrial Gas Museum. The theme chosen for 2018 is “Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics” and, in that context, the Industrial Gas Museum presents The Ne(s)t, an audiovisual trip with human stories as a compass.
Ethnofest curates a series of screenings of ethnographic films on migration, labour, art, memory, everyday life scenes and rituals. Visitors will have the chance to watch student films that were produced during the previous years’ Summer Schools of Ethnofest, in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute in Athens, as well as films that were made by anthropologists from all over the world.
